We are looking for a Class 2 Relief Night Trunk Driver and Sortation Operative. This Relief/Sortation position provides flexible Logistical and operational support across both trunking and depot activities. The role ensures the smooth running of transport operations by covering scheduled trunk routes when required, and assisting with key warehouse and sortation tasks when not on the road.

Key Responsibilities

When not covering a trunk route:

• Assist with the sortation process at Ashby Central Distribution.
• Support the loading of vehicles to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.

When covering a trunk route:

• Operate both truck and van trunk routes as needed.
• Carry out route sorting at the local depot prior to departure.

Schedule: This is a night shift position, working 20:30 to 05:30. Please note that hours may vary depending on the role being covered. The role is 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Need

• Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 3 years, with no more than 6 points).
• Class 2 Licence.
• Reliability and professionalism.
• Previous warehouse and trunking experience (preferred).
• Good geographical knowledge and strong logical thinking skills.
